DVA Special Assistance

What is DVA Special Assistance?

Special assistance is a unique funding that is available for eligible veteran children. Up to $3,000 can be granted to help your child with exceptional circumstances. Circumstances that DVA consider exceptional are when a veteran’s child has a learning condition, intellectual disabilities or another circumstance that impacts their education.

This means that the Department of Veterans’ Affairs can help cover the cost of our ADHD and ASD assessments. This means parents can receive financial support for getting their child the relevant health support. We are proud to deliver our assessments at no cost to the veteran.

Special assistance falls under the DVA Education Schemes; its purpose is to help kids reach their academic potential in education.
